Ailie Robertson: new concerto for DHC blue light, string quartet and electronics

London's Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance is giving special focus to women composers - and Ailie Robertson's new concerto for DHC Blue Light is part of it. 'Seven Sorrows', for DHC blue light harp, string quartet and electronics, was commissioned by New Voices and will be performed for the third time as part of the 'Venus Blazing' series. Later in the 18-19 season, it will also feature in Series 12 of Borough New Music, alongside works by Kaija Saariaho, Josef Tal and Will Handysides. Read more…
