  • Since 1984, the Rencontres Internationales de Harpes Celtiques have been a showcase for everything that concerns the small harp. The event brings together both professional and amateur harpists, instrument makers, trainees and teachers to build a festival that is unique unto itself.

The festival celebrates every phase of harp creation in all its diversity, and there is room for everybody here, regardless of fame or status. The festival bears the worthy motto, “tradition & creation”, two principles which harmonise perfectly with the ethos of Camac.

As such, we are delighted to have a strong presence at the festival, where our instruments can be tried and played upon by all comers.  Aside from our exhibition, this season’s guest stars include Kevin Le Pennec and Corinna Hewatt

For information and tickets, and to discover the entire programme on offer, please visit the festival website.

We look forward to seeing you there!

  • The third weekend of October means only one thing – the Camac Festival! After having celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of the anniversary of Camac Harps in 2022 at the Cité de la Musique in Paris, we’re enthusiastically resuming our tour of the regions, stopping this year in Antibes.

In its eighteenth year, our touring festival remains true to its original primary vocation: that of sharing our passion by presenting harpists and harpists and harp lovers the widest possible variety of talent and styles and styles that make up the richness of our instrument.

We would like to thank the entire team at the superb Conservatoire d’Antibes Juan-les-Pins for their warm welcome, led by its director Noël Bianchini and harp teacher Magali Pyka de Coster. We invite you to come and meet our entire team at this latest edition of the Festival des Harpes Camac from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 October 2024.

Representing the classical harp, we are delighted to welcome Shamim Minoo (Iran); the laureate of international competitions, recent graduate of the Conservatoire de Paris, and now much sought after for her artistry as a soloist. She will be followed by the uplifting musical collaboration of Catrin Finch (Wales) one of the most outstanding harpists of today, and the versatile Irish violinist Aoife Ní Bhriain

Classical harpists can work on repertoire in a masterclass with Isabelle Perrin (professor, Norwegian state academy of music); a rare chance to work with this truly eminent professor and leading exponent of the French school of harp. Of course, lovers of the Celtic harp will be well catered for, with a workshop with Adriano Sangineto, who will take to the stage with his own ensemble. Sharing the concert will be the lyrical talent of Kevin Le Pennec (laureate of the Camac Trophy and the first prize of the Dutch Harp Festival Competition 2024) and ensemble. In addition, you can learn from Kevin in a workshop on combining Celtic harp and voice.

As always, there will be the opportunity not only to hear great artists but to increase your learning, in a fascinating lecture by Patrick Barbier on his book “Marie Antoinette et la musique”.

On the Saturday evening, relax at the Sophocle Restaurant and take in the unique stylings of Anna Boulic (Australian blues on 44 strings) in duo with Ludovic Nagy (drums).

The whole weekend will close with 80 harps on stage, and the awesome combination of the harp classes of Antibes (Magali Pyka de Coster), Aix-en-Provence (Nora Lamoureux), Cannes (Cécile Maudire et Megan Methney), Grasse (Alessandra Magrini), Nice (Nathalie Lebrun et Agnès Bérard), Mandelieu (Mutsuko Uematsu), Marseille (Camille Roux), Monaco (Noëlle Fichou-Véra), Toulon (Elodie Adler), Tourettes (Emeline Chatelin), St-Laurent-du-Var et Villeneuve-Loubet (Aurélie Ellul Ricci) and St-Raphaël et Draguignan (Thaïs Duhautois).

Apart from the opportunity to listen to and meet the finest harpists of the moment we’re bringing you a vast exhibition of our Celtic and pedal harps and the chance to have your Camac harp regulated free of charge (by appointment).

To book a harp regulation, please send an e-mail to [email protected] indicating the model of your harp and, if possible, its serial number.
