  • We are delighted to sponsor the 8th Camac Harp Days in Sweden! Artistic director Ismahni Björkman has organised a packed weekend of concerts and masterclasses with Tristan le Govic and Alexander Rider, two internationally renowned harpists at different ends of the stylistic spectrum.

Our thanks go to the Danderyds Kulturskola Principal , Anders Stengård, for the use of their fantastic premises.

In addition to an unmissable concert, lever harpists can participate in a workshop with Tristan le Govic. Singer, storyteller and virtuoso harpist, Tristan is distinguished by his infectious sense of rhythm and harmonic sense, receiving universal acclaim from audiences and critics alike. He is noted for his many diverse collaborations with other musicians and instrumentalists, as well as for his scholarly work and passionate performance of the music of Kristen Noguès.

Meanwhile, pedal harp students can take part in a masterclass with Alexander Rider. Noted for his affinity with French music at the turn of the last century, and for his work on original instruments of the period, Alexander freelances with major ensembles throughout the United Kingdom. These include all of the orchestras of the BBC, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and (on the Erard) he appears with groups including the Gabrieli Consort and the Academy of Ancient Music.

For our clients in Sweden, our factory technician will be on hand to service and regulate your Camac harp. There will of course be an exhibition featuring Camac’s full pedal and lever harp range.

  • Since 1984, the Rencontres Internationales de Harpes Celtiques have been a showcase for everything that concerns the small harp. The event brings together both professional and amateur harpists, instrument makers, trainees and teachers to build a festival that is unique unto itself.

The festival celebrates every phase of harp creation in all its diversity, and there is room for everybody here, regardless of fame or status. The festival bears the worthy motto, “tradition & creation”, two principles which harmonise perfectly with the ethos of Camac.

As such, we are delighted to have a strong presence at the festival, where our instruments can be tried and played upon by all comers.  Aside from our exhibition, this season’s guest stars include Kevin Le Pennec and Corinna Hewatt

For information and tickets, and to discover the entire programme on offer, please visit the festival website.
