Student scholarships to the Princeton Harp Festival

More news from our US partners the Virginia Harp Center. They are offering scholarships for students to attend the Princeton Harp Festival at the start of November, granting FREE entry to all concerts and events. These include inspiring performances from the latest stars of the concert, lever and electric harp; workshops with Sylvain Blassel and François Pernel, classes on self-marketing for musicians from Diana and me, and exploring performance psychology with Noa Kageyama, author of The Bulletproof Musician.
It’s a great chance both to witness and to discuss many important aspects of your career, whether you are well on the way, or starting out. It should also be a thought-provoking long weekend. The guest artists have made their careers by going beyond common assumptions about the harp, raising the bar and generating new directions. To explore the programme, consult the festival site. To apply for a funded place, please email [email protected], with a brief statement about why you would like a scholarship.
Whether you register for the festival or not, the exhibit hall is also your opportunity to try out an extensive special selection, shipped from France for the occasion. These include our two latest lever models, Ulysse and Excalibur. Our Ulysse is a state-of-the-art, ultralight concert instrument, and our Excalibur is a large lever harp with a double soundboard and an enormous sound. It was developed in collaboration with François Pernel, who is also performing at the festival, so you can talk to him about it as well!
