The International Jeunesses Musicales Competition Belgrade 2025

The International Jeunesses Musicales Competition Belgrade 2025

We are delighted to announce our sponsorship of The International Jeunesses Musicales Competition 2025, in Belgrade (Serbia). This will be a truly exceptional event because until the present time, the competition has rotated the featured instrument (for example, the competition of 2024 featured the clarinet). However, in 2025, the competition will spotlight the harp for the very first time.

One of the largest competitions of its type in the world, the International Jeunesses Musicales Competition Belgrade (IJMC Belgrade) exists with the aim to support the most talented young musicians at the beginning of their artistic careers.

The competition is of great importance in Serbia and the city of Belgrade and since its inception in 1971, over 2000 soloists and more than 200 chamber ensembles have participated.

The proposed repertoire has been carefully selected by Ms. Milena Stanišić (Serbia) and Mr. Alexander Boldachev (Switzerland). Their programme is excellent news for the ambitious young soloists amongst you. Not only are the stages filled with a multitude of options to fit the repertoire of the individual, there is also helpful overlap with the proscribed repertoire of  other international harp competitions which you might be preparing…

The competition will take place 21-30 March 2025 (the deadline for applications is 25 January 2025) and is open to advanced harpists aged 15-35.

There is a preselection (made by video submission), after which selected applicants will then proceed to the live rounds, the third and final of which will be with orchestra.

Camac will contribute to the cash prizes offered by the competition, as well as a concert opportunity. Contestants will also be able to play on a selection of our harps, if they so choose.

Tatjana Vojnov (Director, International Jeunesses Musicales Competition – Belgrade) says:

“I want to express my sincere gratitude to Camac Harps for seeing the potential of our competition, which has been held for more than half a century, and in the next edition it will be presented for the first time as a harp competition!

The entire IJMC community, including me as its director, is extremely pleased to welcome another prestigious brand like Camac Harps into its family. I also wish good luck to all the competitors who will visit Belgrade in March 2025 and enjoy music. Some of them will return home with a prize, for which Camac is one of the sponsors! Cheers!”

We are delighted too and join Ms. Vojnov in wishing the best to all competitors.
