Imagine: hiphop choreography by Mourad Merzouki, music from the Concert de l’Hostel Dieu baroque ensemble, a backdrop of Jean Lurçat’s monumental tapestry cycle, Le Chant du Monde…and Camac harps!

Imagine no further, for this creation has become reality. Folia, directed by Merzouki / Cie Käfig, has been realised by Arpeggio Films for Angers pousse le son. It will be re-broadcast on France 3 this coming January 26 at 23h15, and across the national TV networks at various points throughout the year.

What is Folia about? Many things: human folly and excess, and wild improvisation full of joy, exuberance, and hints of apocalypse. See for yourselves: we thoroughly recommend this magnificent short film!
