Congratulations to the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra!

We are delighted to learn that, after an extremely intensive selection process, the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra has chosen our Canopée grand concert harp to add to its collection of Camac harps.

Nearly a decade ago, they selected a gold Oriane concert harp for the orchestra. Since then, the harp has been consistently used in performances, valued by the orchestra’s musicians for its beautiful sound and for its reliability,  a testament to our ongoing dedication to customer care. This carefully built collaboration has laid the foundation for this latest selection process.

Ms. Yuying Chen*, the orchestra’s principal harpist, has expressed her praise for the new harp. She remarked, “The Canopée has an incredibly full and resonant sound, with a deep, rich bass that makes it ideal for symphony orchestra performances.” She is set to perform with this harp in upcoming concerts, showcasing its brilliance on stage.

We are immensely grateful to Ms. Chen and to our associate Duoli Wu.

By choosing Camac, the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra highlights our status as a trusted partner for world-class orchestras. We are honoured to be a part of their musical journey.

*Yuying Chen is the harpist with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a distinguished musician and is a laureate of the Israel International Harp Competition, the Golden Harp International Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia, and the Lille International Harp Competition in France.
